Marisa & Momo
Marisa and Momo's wedding at The Homestead 1854 was a beautiful celebration of their love, culture, and personal style. Every detail of the wedding was a reflection of Marisa and Momo's personality and love story.
Marisa's cousin Nick officiated the wedding ceremony on the labyrinth with a backdrop of white pines, adding a special familial touch to the ceremony. Heartway Harp and Strings provided the perfect musical accompaniment, playing for the ceremony and cocktail hour, adding a beautiful touch to the enchanting atmosphere.
After the ceremony, guests enjoyed a lovely cocktail hour before the grand entrance into dinner. Marisa and Momo, along with the groomsmen and Momo’s sisters, changed into traditional African wedding attire, adding a vibrant and colorful touch to the celebration. Marisa's brother, the Man of Honor, joined in via Zoom and delivered an emotional toast that had everyone in tears, which was a testament to the love shared by Marisa and Momo and their family.
During dinner, Marisa's dad gave a fabulous father-of-the-bride toast, which also had everyone in tears. The father-daughter first look was another highlight of the wedding, a special moment shared between a loving dad and his daughter on her special day.
Marisa and Momo's wedding was full of personal touches and unique details, including Marisa's choice of long velvet ribbons for her and the bridesmaids' bouquets, which added a touch of ethereal elegance to the wedding, flowing beautifully in the wind. Shutterwinks, one of The Homestead 1854's preferred photographer professionals, captured the moments perfectly.
Marisa and her mom surprised everyone with a choreographed tap dance, showcasing their close relationship and fun-loving nature. It was a testament to their love for each other and the joy they shared in the moment.
From start to finish, Marisa and Momo's wedding was a beautiful and unique celebration of their love, culture, and personal style. We at The Homestead 1854 were honored to be a part of their special day and wish them all the best as they embark on their journey together.
