Amid the exuberant festivities, Maria and Roman paid homage to Roman's Ukrainian heritage with a cherished tradition—the breaking of the korovai. Amid applause and cheers, the korovai was broken into pieces, marking the start of a new chapter as a united couple. They also stepped on the Rushnyk, a ceremonial cloth symbolizing the couple's journey together and their shared path forward in marriage. In this beautiful tradition, the act of stepping on the Rushnyk signifies more than just physical steps—it's a gesture of mutual respect and endearing unity.
