We will use the contents throughout the day to practice strategies that are proven to help reduce stress, and revitalize us.
9:30-9:50- When we meditate, we inject far-reaching and long-lasting benefits into our lives; we lower our stress levels, we connect better, we improve our focus, and we're kinder to ourselves. We will talk through meditation basics and then practice with a 10 minute guided meditation.
9:50-10:15-. Mindfulness means paying attention with the senses, in the body—feeling, touching, seeing, hearing, and tasting. Tea meditation has been practiced for many centuries and has many benefits for our well-being. We will dedicate time for only ourselves and our tea!
10:15-10:45- Research studies on essential oils show positive effects for a variety of health concerns including infections, pain, anxiety, depression, tumors, premenstrual syndrome, nausea, and many others. Before opening the essential oil roller making bar, we’ll discuss risks and benefits of essential oils.
10:45-11:30- “Wherever there are trees, we are healthier and happier,” Qing Li It’s long been recognized that humans have a biological need to connect with nature. We will let nature enter through our ears, eyes, nose, mouth, hands, and feet while forest bathing at nearby Steward Park.
11:30-Noon-We will shed some light on the scientifically proven benefits of gratitude and through journaling and letter writing, we will first-hand harness the benefits.
Noon-3:00 –After a refreshing lunch, packed with seasonal flavors, we will set out to the sounds of nature, for a summer traditional horseback trail ride through the beautiful local forest preserve.
